| Name the noise, win a prize! Prize is unknown at the moment, but i should be able to come up with something cool.
HINTS: - Only while braking
- sounds like its coming from the right side
- stoped for about 10 mins after changing to OEM rotors
- stopped for another 10mins when the end link bushings were changed
- cant feel it in the pedal or wheel
- doesn't happen if you really stomp on the brake
Sorry its sideways.
starts at the 6/7 second mark in the vid.

| Re: Name the noise, win a prize! what wheel are you using??
it seems the caliper hanger is touching the wheel. take off your wheel and see if you have rubbing at the back of the wheel face.. |

| Re: Name the noise, win a prize! shit ok i forget what it called but its the little upper liner that lies above your wheel, its black and plastic and for some reason im spacing of what its actually called, the same thing happened to mine and it only happened on one side, take a look under your wheel and push up and around that plastic liner and see if anything or any tabs are broken ahaha mine got split then my wheel just ate it up as i drove
maybe possibly?

| Re: Name the noise, win a prize! My guess would be that one of your brake pad clips has partially separated from the pad allowing it to shake somewhat freely. Or you should check to make sure your calipers are tight and secure. But of course, just guessing. |

| Re: Name the noise, win a prize! i really want to know the right answer here. i have the very same problem every time I put back my smoothie wheels that i spaced out with 5mm shims.
only for about few miles though, after that it goes away. |

| Re: Name the noise, win a prize! rocking steelies now as i thought it was the wheels at first, i cut out the plastic liner out of frustration lol
Ill go look at the clips now.
Im going to jack the car up and turn it on and see if i can make the noise while its in the air.
Thanks for the replies guys!
Ok it makes the noise while its spinning in the air, so it isnt weight dependent. I took the rotor and caliper off, no unusual marks on either one. Took the pads out, they seem fine. I might go buy OEM pads and new clips and see if that fixes anything.
Note to mods, a post at 10:30am and a post at 11:58am should not be considered a "double post" lol

| Re: Name the noise, win a prize! The answer is simple, it's your muffler bearings!
But seriously, could be a wheel bearing with as loud as that is, or an axle. |

| Re: Name the noise, win a prize! My guess is that you have a bad rear wiper. Ok so I really dont know. My guess is that it has to do with an axle that has gone bad from riding too low. Have you tried jacking it up with no wheels on the front and then letting it gear up? That will tell you if wheels/rubbing is a factor. From there, you can work inward. Take off the brake pads on the front and let it roll. Keep working down eliminating factors till you get to the base of the axle. That is my advice. Just make sure you got it jacked up safely and is in a very controlled situation. |

| Re: Name the noise, win a prize! Maybe the sliders for the caliper is binding. Pull out both slider bolts clean everything really good. Grease them up and re-assemble. hopefully that helps! |

| Re: Name the noise, win a prize! Sounds like brake caliper pin bushings like Rperez said. Typically they make noise only when light brake is applied. gl |
