My new custom top plate for the new Easy Street struts by EZ Baked Customs

EZ Baked made me some new top mounting plates for my new style Easy Street struts.

I am using the bolts that the struts came with. But the holes could be cut bigger if need be.
when I get them, and put them on, I will do a DIY for everyone with them as well.

EZ Baked Customz
Cost will be $55+shipping for a set.

Funny thing. My cavy had mounts like this stock from Easy Streets set up. Why they changed it to traditional mounts, IDK. I guess to many people want a nice ride. Just make sure to use some nice thick urethane bushings to keep noise and vibration down. here's a tip......

Flip the mounts to the top of the strut towers. (under hood, vs. in fender) You'll see more drop

we were getting 1/2" on the cavies by doing that. Just make sure to use grade 8 bolts and nylon locking nuts.

I would be worried that this thin Scion metal would not be able to hold up to it really.

Thx Ray.......Im very disappointed by what just happend.

Randy would never stab someone in the back like this. He was taking the time on getting them made to make it as cheap as possible to hook people up, not rape them at $55 a set.

Wow this is getting out of hand. You hardcore SA dudes shoot first ask question if you think of any later. :come:
If anyone on here knows me they know if you ask me to make somthing any thing I can make it happen. If I have the time for it is a differant story. So I was asked to make a flat plate with 4 holes in it 3 of witch good luck trying to patent by the way.I did not know about Randode being the man behind the flat plates with holes in them. They look alot like the stock strut plate wich is where I took my bolt pattern and shape from. I was asked to make the plates. so I took the 10 min took dimentions and drew it up and another 5 to make it. I never claimed It was my genius or even offer them to the world. So relax Goth was just giving me props for getting him what he needed in less than a weeks time.

Here Is how it all started.. EZ-BAKEDCUSTOMZ • View topic - new top mounting plates for Easy Street struts

Re: My new custom top plate for the new Easy Street struts by EZ Baked Customs

FYI.... I discussed this idea with Cody (crxgames) MONTHS ago, with no knowledge of either of you guys making them.... So ha! Its the way easy street mounts used to be.

I was hoping I had a picture of them, but apparently I don't. But yeah. Its a old method to mounting. And in the production world, its not about who had the idea first. Its about who produced it first...

Goth, I don't care where you got the idea. The fact is the idea works.

And to Randode, and to Easy Baked.... You guys both should know about competition in the market.

Re: My new custom top plate for the new Easy Street struts by EZ Baked Customs

None the less, I don't care who's "original" idea it was.

Because like I said, I've known about this mounting method for a while now. So has MANY of companies.

None the less, the easy baked look solid. And if Goth prefers to do business with them, vs. Randode, than so be it. And I actually told Cody to go to a machine shop and get a quote on them. I'd laugh so hard if it was cheaper by them, than either of the two, and the quality was as good, if not better.

And I know of a place local to me, that does top notch quality at fair prices.

I guess you could even say, these are both knock off's of the D2/Ksport/Cusco mounts.... Because they look the same, minus these don't have camber adjustments and pillow balls. Maybe that's where you guys should be taking these mounts. Step it up a notch. Timken or SKF bearing will provide solid use, and all you've gotta do is figure out the rest.

Re: My new custom top plate for the new Easy Street struts by EZ Baked Customs

I think this is freaking hilarious. People are all about copies and going for the "easiest" option to them, no matter who gets hurt in the wheel game. Then, when they see it actually hurts someone and it's a person they know, they jump in. Lemme give you a hint: you cant have your cake and eat it too. With that being said, Randode does NOT have a patent on this item. This is fair game as far as Im concerned. If one person is more motivated than another, theyll set their product above the other or price it lower. Done. If anyone wants to take ownership, they should have patented the design and curbed the market early in the game. Ill say it like most people in the community have told me: you can't tell a difference on copies anyway...

Let the battle rage on!

I like randode an ez-baked, so I'm not biased by any means, but when something's posted on an online forum, it's what's known as "public knowledge". You can't copyright public knowledge.

-sidenote: what's the purpose of the bickering?

yea i find it funny too. now that it's some one here in the community we're gettin all butt hurt but ohhhhh every gets a massive boner when they can buy knock off kits and knock off wheels. how you think fabulous feel with sportmax and all the companies amking the shitty fitting kits? stop contradicting your posts people. if randode makes em to help out his crew than so be it if EZ does as well then so be it. should we get made cuz penzoil and valvoline both make oil? no its a personal choice of which you go with
