| (KSPORT)Coilover Problem!!!!!!!!!!!! alright so heres the situation:
Ksport Kontrol Pro coilovers
back = perfect
front = problems
So 2 weeks ago i notice when i roll to a stop at a light and such my car will literally thump to a stop like at one point of the wheel. like pretty significant bumps too. i noted that this happened evrywhere and not just at that light.
So a week passes and i find time to disect it. i jack it up and push on the right wheel and the whole disc/ wheel assembly shifts up and ddown... so im like WTF!?
I take it into the local suspension/ tire shop and they say they dont work on aftermarket parts so i go home and i cut into it again. ( cant say i didnt give proffesional a try) I see that the bottom-most bolt of the shock/ strut assembly is loose.
Q1: ^^^ is that supposed to pivot at those bolts
so i torque it down with my air wrench (medium force) THAT didnt help and possibly made it worse.
so another week passes and last night i jack the whole front end up and dig in again.
I see that the top of the strut has slipped in the camber all the way inward (towards eachother). so i go to loosen the allen bolts, which are already loose. I loosen the lower part from the brakes and then lightly tap the top of the coilover back to it's original position (I know cuz i cut the places in the rain catcher for the damper adjustment) then i tighten those badboys up.
Then i get my carpenter's level and put it on the rotor and put it perfectly level (up and down ways) then i IMPACT THE TWO LOWER BOLTS DOWN but not too much.
so i go for a ride last night and it was perfect! WTF YEAAA! right? NOPE
I go to school and on my way home im listening to a light... RUBBING NOISE? WTF
and POPPING NOISE? dudeeeeeee. this is BS
so if anyone has had this issue please take the time to respond b4 i go to the performance place 30 minutes away? thanks guys JACOB |

| Re: (KSPORT)Coilover Problem!!!!!!!!!!!! Rubbing could be you may have bent the shield while changing it. So check that. (you don't even have to move jack the car up.
Popping could be a cv joint. You may have damaged one with the strut being loose. Another possibility is that you damaged the bearing in the pillow ball. A sure way for find out if its coming from the strut, or another part is to put the stock suspension back on the front, and going for a drive around the block and listening. If it stops, its something in the assembly. If it doesn't, its in the car. |

| Re: (KSPORT)Coilover Problem!!!!!!!!!!!! I would be able to help if I was in the car and heard the same thing. But can't offer you any more advice than doing it the hard way, but the sure way to tell.
Hopefully its just something loose. |

Make sure they are both tight. |
