| Installed TRD rear sway Bar today! Finally decided to get the TRD rear sway bar for my 06 box. I got it Thursday and after looking at it and to make sure that I had all of the tools for this, I could do it. Well I started after dinner and in about 1 hour I got it on. I didn't realize how heavy it was. Rides real good. Just about the way that I was hoping for. Tomorrow I am going to play in traffic and see how it does handle. I will let you know! |

What I noticed with a rear sway bar, is that if your lowered as well, you're car will want to push in high speed corners. |

| Re: Installed TRD rear sway Bar today! Ok, let me set the scene for ya...
Lets say your hauling ass down a on ramp, and its one of those fun 3/4 loop ones, got the nice banking on them, and usually a speed limit of 25 or 30mph.... Now, picture your self using your knee to keep your body from sliding towards the door by pressing your knee on the door. And then you look down at your speedo and your doing oh, 50mph on a ramp that's recommending 25mph or 30mph.... As your turning into it, its doing fine. Holding tight on the white line, until you get close to the end of the ramp...
You'll then notice the front end wanting to push (or keep turning in hard) as your reaching the end of the turn. Shorter turns don't do it as much, and if it does, its not very noticeable. But on hard 90degree turns, or 3/4 loop ramps, you'll feel it if you're pushing the car.
Its not to bad on the sharp 90 degree turns. Basically you hone a new driving skill with a little practice. Basically its like drifting, but with out being out of control. You just gotta be gentle on the steering correction. Just because you feel it turning in harder all of a sudden, doesn't mean you have to jerk the wheel back. Just a nice slight adjustment, no more than moving the steering wheel 1" to 2"s slowly. |

--EDIT--
I didn't bother reading 859's post so I didn't know why you stated that. Push != oversteer, push = understeer. Rick is correct.

| Re: Installed TRD rear sway Bar today! My box came with the TRD rear sway bar already on, so I don't really have anything to compare it to, as far as the box. I think it does look cool though |

| Re: Installed TRD rear sway Bar today! Well took it out and love the feel of the whole box now. NICE and TIGHT. After all, that is the way we like it. Less roll on the curves. |

| Re: Installed TRD rear sway Bar today! I noticed the oversteer kicking in later on when going fast through the curve. Got used to it now- i know when to expect it. Is upgrading the front sway going to change things and how? I only have rear Progress now.
