Re: help!! Air ride question

First step is to determine how your valves are mesured. They are either inside diameter (easystreet/airlift valves are measured this way) or outter diameter (blitzluft).

Now that you've determined the proper valve size, go to www.sucidedoors.com and order up your new line.

A line cutter is a good buy while your there. It will provide a clean straight cut.

Sucidedoors really for all your air ride needs. They are a company that was started by 2 brothers who built one off parts for their mini trucks and have grown to one of the best known and prefered companies out there. Still ran by guys that love building minis, and people here who know their air suspension will back me on saying go to them.

You could also go by any 18 wheeler store and they should have the airlines you need. Try finding a FleetPride near you, we usually have the cheapest prices then most places. They can also make you steel braded hoses awwell.

Re: help!! Air ride question

Valves really aren't measured by "inside" or "outside" diameter. Most are labeled or sold to the air suspension market by the NPT thread size or the diameter of the airline for the PTC fittings of the valves.

What is harder to find from the "packaged" or "relabeled" valves is the diameter of the orifice. This is what can really make a difference on the speed of a valve. In combination with the type of valve as well.

Either way, suicide doors is a great online supplier. I usually go local when I can though

Any good truck supply store should have the DOT approved air brake line you need.

This is all so interesting considering there are so many different ways to go about your set up. Valve size seems to be the most confusing part of an air ride set up. I have been stuck on this myself. Can it be more explained on good valve sizes for different size lines and set ups?

You can probably get most of the information you are looking for in the thread I wrote over on SL. Some of the information is a little out of date since I haven't updated it in a while. I need to do that and get it posted on this site as well.

this is going to probably be the cheapest for air line. When I've checked locally at big mac stores they've always wanted double per foot.

Re: help!! Air ride question

I haven't had any problems at all with my setup and I've been everywhere in it. It's been to NYC twice, which is about a 7-8hour drive. It's been to OBX NC, everywhere in the past year and a half. I spent 14 days installing it, taking my time and doing it right.

Re: help!! Air ride question

airbagit.com has the cheapets line by far. This is one of the only parts I WOULD order from them tho. 50' 3/8" air line for $14 before shipping. Most places have all of the same line anyway. shipping is like $5 lol
