Gen 1 Eibach Sportlines Rears coil binding

Has anyone had this problem? I just got them installed and went to a buddies place to brag. He then was doing and once over and saw that the back springs were binding up(Binding meaning that 10 of the 12 coils were touching).

Only 2 coils of the 12 werent binding up. Mind you I didnt even notice as I drove for at least 20 miles before we noticed and for the most part the ride was better than stock. I have no extra weight in the back unless you count the box and subs but i cant see the rears binding that bad with such little weight. the springs were install by a local shop with a good rep, one who specializes in supsension and they didnt say anything so i was hoping that someone could give me the 411 on these things. Is this a normal character trait of the springs and or is the binding just the norm for progressive springs?

Thanks !!

Mine did that...its normal.

You would be amazed at how many aftermarket spring kits do this.

its a progressive rate spring thats why its not uniform across the whole spring.

Thanks guys for the input. Just wanted to be sure i wasnt fu*king up my suspension!!

plus the tough guy stance my box has right now is funnier than shit with the back all jacked up with OEM springs and the front dropped the 2 inches.....lol and i wasnt going to do anything until i heard back from the brotherhood and eibach. got to swap them back now!!
