ya agreed ^^^^^

but i do side with him, all people have different tastes i respect everyone on this forum and the mods they do wether you have a complete bolt on everything type of car or you cut the crap out your car to lay out. Obviously the guy knew he was ruining the resale value of is b when he did this and im sure he didnt care, anyway his car is sick to bad he didnt go all the way and lay it out completly, which maybe he will once its all done

One this is not new. sorry but its not. http://www.minitruckinweb.com/features/0405mt_scion_xb/
granted this xb was on 19s but the drop done on it is the same concept that this guys is doing.

I like the concept yes would I do it no.

Yes he maybe be in progress of doing it but you dont have to hack it all up like it looks in the pictures... look at any show that does customization or restoration.. do that hack it up to make it better no they dont. that just creates more work.

As far as hiding tops of tires on 20s of an xb that can be done with out slamming it.. so thats nothing big to me.. the 20s basically fill the wheel wells by themselves so when you do add a tire the tops are already in the wheel wells.

OH AND I have 14s on my xb and before switching out my rear springs i was tucking the tops of my tires too (that was with cheap ebay coilovers)and you could not see the tops .. so that is more of a feet than tucking tires on a 20 if you ask me.. and they will be tucked again when i change out my suspension.. just have to decide on coilover or air..

ok i am done.

ya that guys xb is sweet, he didnt have to chop as much out as the other guy but he did have to tube into the rear doors to make it sit that low, i imagine that the pics of the other guys will look much better when its done, im sure the green xb wasnt so pretty when they had it all tore apart and cut up

Yeah it is sweet and I like the idea even though i wouldnt personally do it.. but just the one pic of the rear the cut is all jagged in the pic.. even if chopping you could do a better job and would make less work when finishing..

also was just posting showing it was done before so not new idea.. but would like to see his when done to see how he finishes it out in the back..

but have to say it will be cool if does it and everyday driver not just trailor.. alot of people can do stuff that looks cool but not functional but making it look good and functional whole different thing. but doubt would be everyday since doesnt have power steering anymore.

WELL YES THISONE DID DO IT FIRST AND YES THE OTHER IS A LITTLE HARD ON THE CUTS BUT I THINK ONE THING THAT I THINK THAT MOST PEOPLE ARE MISSING IS THAT THIS GUY WILL MOST LIKELY WILL BE ABLE TO PULL A THREE WHEEL (IF HE PLACES THE BAGS CORRECTLY) YOU CANT DO THAT WITH A STRECHED FACTORY SWINGARM.HOWEVER THE GREEN XB WAS FIRST TO GO BIG DOSENT MEAN HE HAS TO BE THE LAST. P.S. GOT SOME PHOTOS OF YOURS?

O YA THANKS FOR TALKING CAR TALK AND NOT WRITTING CLASS.THIS IS WHAT " THIS CHAT " IS ALL ABOUT!!!

What does this has to do with what you quoted me for?
The ride looks great, it is a lot of probably un-needed work to not even lay frame. The suspension work looks really well done, and it is obvious he isn't done with the rest. I'm sure it will look good when it is all done. And about re-selling it, I knew it would be a problem and the whole thats why you buy a cheap car to do it, thats common sense. I don't see how I "cut him off at the knees" why, because I agreed with a couple people?

And believe me, I know why the pics where posted. "THIS GUYS TRYING SOMETHING NEW AND ALOT OF US BY LOOKING AT THE PHOTOS ARE GOING TO USE THIS GUYS CREATION TO HELP IN OUR OWN TWEEKER PROJECTS"
Look at my threads, most of them I am doing just that.

No where did I say anything about him having a little mini-truckin' in him! I stated it compares to trying to sell a mini truck. Read!

Take it from one of the first guys to put an xB on air, you cant three wheel with bags. You need cylinders and an extra valve.

YOU CAN. YOU JUST HAVE TO BE ALITTLE CRATIVE LIKE THIS GUY . WITH A SOLID REAR AXLE, THE 4 LINK AND SOME LIMIT STRAPS YOU CAN.
