Holy Cuttin' Torch! Wouldn't want this car....

body-drop-20-s-mvc-238f.jpg

This just seems to me to be a hack job by a guy with a cuttin' torch, an awful lot of destruction to get a desired look.
So, okay, the exterior looks cool, but if you peek underneath, or behind the body panels, you see allot of rough cut jagged unprotected steel. To me a quality street rod, should be a work of art. every cut , weld and rivet carefully planned and executed.
The only thing I see executed here, was one poor unfortunate XB.

sits as low as my car when i had air but I didnt hack the crap out of it. I didnt have 20's because they dont belong on an xB but I couldve run them with the proper offset.

I appreciate every little bit of work people do with airbag. I was told by a local truck club out here to do a complete body drop on 20's and I'm keeping that in mind until I get the money. I think xB's look real clean with airbags and slammed to the ground. I give props to the people who got bags and I'll be there some day :-)

sorry to hear that. but like you said, you'll get through it. I can't wait to see it clean up and new paint. Just ease up on the paint design, don't go too crazy.

My ride is doing just fine. Not a show car, just happy I have one. been doing small stupid mod here and there.
later,
sid

for one its not body dropped, it tubbed out in the rear but you cant body drop somethin if its a unibody, that was my little rant and it wasnt because of the post title, secondly its not done he brought the car out to show its progress. And to tuck 20's like that i would like to see somone keep the stock fenders stock and not cut i guarentee you wont tuck like he his. Also i still want to know why hes not laying kit i dont understand what he could be sitting up on if your gunna put that much effort into it at least lay it completly out. If you wanna check out some pics of an xb laying kit on 18's right now soon to be 20's check out some of randode's newest pics, his set up is just sick and clean as hell. ok im done ranting

Some like it, some dont. Many people agree that 20s have no place on an xB. I am one of them. The pictures of my car were before I modified the setup to go even lower. I still had a few inches of clearance inside my fenders in those pictures, had I had 20s on the car it would have looked about the same as the other guy. The difference is, you cant tell I ever had air on my car if you look at it now. This guy will have to keep the car forever or sell it to another enthusiast. This is why people are saying it wasnt a wise choice.

Agreed.

Same goes for a mini truck, etc. Your everyday car buyer will have nothing to do with a purchase like that.

I even might have a tough time when the day comes.
