| Re: Best price on AutoPilot digital air ride managment??? this is basically the deciding factor between air ride and coilovers. I NEED something user friendly and practical witch the AutoPilot seems to be. The ol' lady would have difficulty with switchs so I need something easy. Then theres coilvers. It would be so dumped but unpractical on the city streets around here. Alltough I do it on my S13 anyways |

| Re: Best price on AutoPilot digital air ride managment??? I thinking of easy street. Some people say its got problems but my buddys got it and his has been solid for over a year now. Priced out the easy street fronts and rears with the autopilot and it came to 2g's.
If I can find that autopilot management kit again then it would only cost me like $1300 tops for all the parts I need.
I will be installing my self even though i dont know what im doing. Im very hands on so i learn fast. I know alot of other shit and im not affraid to do this.
Just want a good deal on parts. |

| Re: Best price on AutoPilot digital air ride managment??? I HATE AUTO PILOT!
I ran it for 6 months in my cavalier before I just disconnected it, and wired the valves traditional.
The following is why:
*Doesn't read accurate after a while on auto pilot. It'll say 40psi each corner (if thats your set height) but it'll be 40 front, 20 rear. And if your tires come close or do rub when laid out, thats not a good thing
*Random dumps from the valves. Yeah, thats not good either. I had a close call going up to a stop light one day. It just flat out dumped all valves and I drug to a stop. Ok, so not that it wasn't something I'd do on my own but had I been driving at like 60mph+ or turning, yeah.... Bad news.
I strongly suggest you go old school. OR do just digital gauges. (dakota digital are the best) Its just not worth the hassle. And I bought my kit 100% new from EasyStreet. I love easy street set ups, but I hate their digital kit. Or if you want a reliable digital auto kit, get the Air Ride Tech set up. Its a bit more, but its actually worth it. |

Some people share their cars with their wife who may not be able to handle manual switches and need presets. |

Some people share their cars with their wife who may not be able to handle manual switches and need presets. | I am not thread jacking. Thread jacking would be ripping into a complete other topic. I was giving a heads up. I am not the only one to ever have problems with the auto pilot. I can probably dig up about 10 other people that have had the same problems, if not worse.
And why did I say it? Because people don't search. Plain an simple. So sometimes you have to repeat your self.
And teaching someone to read a gauge is not hard. All you have to say is lift it to 40psi. Show them where 40psi is. and tada!
I have known many girls to hop into my cavy, and my friends trucks and drive them with out any kind of preset or prior knowledge of how to operate a air ride system |

I can assure you guys that we sell a ton of these kits and see minimal issues from the product itself.
If you had an issue with it dropping automatically it sounds like an issue in the wiring or a sharp voltage decrease or spike. If there is any issue with the system we always do our best to get customers taken care of. |

well that info would of been good news last year. lol.
But I was always dealing with Jim on those issues before he got his promotion. He did a lot of buisness with the cavalier/sunfire guys and gals, so he kinda became or go to guy.
While you hear, can we get some more info on the new and improved air struts for the xbs? I know Ben has the protypes (he's a local to me) and I haven't heard a complaint. But his cars been seeing a lot of shop time so it probaby hasn't been driven much. |
