| Re: Is Anyone Running On Cut Springs?? i got drop zone spring and plan on cutting 2 coils out of the front if you would look at mine it wouls be perfectly safe to do for the simple fact that on the front springs i have 6 dead coils as i would call them where they have no function at all they are just there these springs have the same drop rate if not a lil more in back than th df210's. now on the other hand when it comes to cutting the back springs there is no way to cut those reason being the wrap on them are skinny on top and bottom and fat in the middle i would never take a risk like that but i would say if you have "dead coils" on the front spring why not cut them unless there are only like 2 "dead coils" i love suspension to. and there is a time to look at safety and safely realize if you can do something like this take your time and consider other options first and make sure that if you go with this decision to make sure you dont regret it. i would go with coil overs but i dont like how stiff they are and the fact is i cant find no one to change my oils let alone do a alignment cuz my car is supposedly to low now. |

| Re: Is Anyone Running On Cut Springs?? Those aren't just "dead coils"
They are there to help support the weight of the car.
Basically, if they weren't meant to be there, the company wouldn't of wasted the money in material to be there.
However that's a good way to tell the quality of your springs. If it takes that many coils touching to hold the vehicles weight up, the spring tension isn't very high.

| Re: Is Anyone Running On Cut Springs?? I asked around before I did mine because of the safety issue. Im running df210s with echos struts up front and wanted to be lower. I cut 2 1/2 dead coils off the rear and one off the front the front still seats just fine and didnt really change the ride quality either. |

| Re: Is Anyone Running On Cut Springs?? I still strongly suggest never cutting springs. But whatever, people are going to do what they want. Just remember, just because 10 people before you did it with no issues, doesn't mean you can't have issues with it. |

| Re: Is Anyone Running On Cut Springs?? They need to add the brick for the gas pedal. You know, the ones that make your car accelerate faster since its heavier than your foot.
Oh and of course there is the turnsignal Fluid. |
