Wheel fitment thread

I've searched on here (but maybe not enough) and can't find any wheel fitment threads. I'd like to run some 18's on mine but there doesn't seem to be any thread that gives offsets for various wheels/sizes. Can somebody point me in the right direction? Need to get something ordered up...don't want the stock wheels on this

Re: Wheel fitment thread

I'd like to avoid rolling the lips but if I need to so be it. I'll find a pic of what I like and post it in a sec...

Something like this isn't bad. I don't want to have mad camber just to make something fit.

I'd like to add that I don't need something ridiculously wide either. I'm guessing a 7.5"-8" rim would be fine?

With that said I roll a 7.5" wheel with a 42mm offset. But I also use a 10mm hub spacer from Onetongarage. Checkout www.discounttiredirect.com for a variety of wheel choices.

Re: Wheel fitment thread

On an 8" wheel the rear would need to be a 5-10mm offset and the front would need to be a 20-25mm offset to sit VERY flush.

you can play with different combinations of offsets and spacers until you get the look you are going for.

I have a 10mm hub spacer/15x8/15mm offset wheel on the back of mine and it is flush. The front has a 15mm spacer/15x7/38mm offset and it could actually use 4-5mm more to be as flush as the rear is.

Re: Wheel fitment thread

Yeah I want to avoid using spacers if I can. Problem is that I'll more than likely be ordering the wheels online otherwise I'd just try them on to see. I'll be going to the local wheel place and see if they can work a deal out but the selection they have isn't nearly as huge as an online retailer. I guess I'm spoiled and just want to order a wheel with x offset and have them fit right the first time :P.

Re: Wheel fitment thread

I roll a 7.5 wheel and 10 mm OTG spacers and I am perfectly flush dropped about 3 " or so on coil overs....can provide pics if needed
I also swap 15's for every day to preserve rims etc..

BTw the OTG spacers are easy to use and very reliable

Re: Wheel fitment thread

I know spacers are reliable (I have them on my Z) but its just another thing to add to the vehicle if ya know what I mean. If I could find a wheel that fit right the forst time then its that much less to buy/install...yes...I'm lazy

+17 Front and +5 Rear on a 8" wide wheel is just about perfect.
