For me, it is the plastic wheel covers. I have the click click sound at about 25 to 45 mph. I took the covers off one day while washing the car. Took a short drive, (with no plastic covers on the steel wheels) and low and behold, no clicking sound. For me the problem was in the hubcaps.

i heard wheel bearings can do it....mine is clicking like crazy....and boots are oppened....time for new drive axles....

Ouch!!. Those drive axle boots if they crack open and the grease leaves. Clicking will also show up. Along with a drain on the wallet.

been a year since...ill be taking my car out of servince in a few weeks, so ill be able to replace the drive axles

How many miles does the Xb have before the drive axles and bearings went bad?

mine..onliy like 50K, but i cuased the boots to rip, was my bad.. and the bearing..i think it was alaska...glacial dirt is hard on that stuff

Lucky for me I only have 33k on the 04 Xb, and it hasn't been out of Calif yet. Alaska has been known to be a little tough on machinery. Good luck with the repairs.
