| Stock Steelie Wheel Caps Hey everyone. I was wondering, does anyone know of any wheel caps for our stock steelies to hide the hubs? I kinda like the steelie look and will be running them till I get new wheels. I don't mean hubcaps, I'm talking about the little caps that cover the centers, but leave the rest exposed. All options open at this point as I do not know if I want to go all flat black and finish the blackout of the box or put chrome caps and lug nuts on it and a chrome trim ring on them. Thanks for the input guys! |

The stay on well without any hardware or modification. I ran them for a year and never lost one. Don't know about painting them, though. Good Luck on your search. |

| Re: Stock Steelie Wheel Caps I'm rocking the steelies with a ring as well, picked up the ring from eBay.
The NAPA center cap has a dull finish that doesn't match the stainless rings, I think it was a zinc coating or something. What I did was wet sand and buff, then hit it with clearcoat spraypaint for wheels. No flaking yet, so you should be fine painting it.
Just a heads up though, when I rotated my tires I did notice rust on the inside of the cap, so you may want to paint it. Also, I used silicone adhesive on the inner lip of the cap to hold it on the rim, just in case. Haven't lost one yet. |
