| Someone set me up. Ok.... so i want a set of 15's. I have been lookin at the 001's and a few others but i need to know what are the best numbers to run? I have a air runner set up and want to run -3 camber in the rear. I want the wheels to sit flush all the way around. What width, offset, spacer and tire combo is the best to go with?
Thanks in advance guys!!!
,Drew
pics would be great!!
ALSO i like the look of the smooth fender flares but not really sure how they work? do they just go over my fenders and stick on? which would keep me at the same fender width as stock just look extended? right? or do they actually extend my fenders to that width? just wanting to make sure if i have them on and dump it its not going to crush my fenders. either way any advice needed. thanks.

| Re: Someone set me up. If you want to be flush with -3 camber. 001's aren't the way to go. And I'm not just saying that because I despise SPortmax, but the +0 won't work on the rear. They are only a +0 offset and will suck in at the top. If you want to run a 8" wide rear, which is the most popular width, you will need about a -15 to -20 to be flush in the rear with -3 camber. The +0 will be fine in front with no camber.
The smooth flares mount to the factory lip in the wheel well. SO you can't roll the fender. May be an issue if you want to try and tuck. You will end up having to run a wider wheel, not tuck it, and let it sit the flare/fender on top of the tire. ALso, with flares, you will want even more negative offset, or a wider wheel. The flares that rivet or screw onto the side, don't meet the factory lip, so streching the fender over wider wheel/tire combos is still a possibility.
These are +10 F and +0 rear with no camber, both 15x8. Nice and flush.
Here are +0 on -3 with flares. Not real flush on top.

| Re: Someone set me up. thanks, now i dont have to get the sportmax wheels its just the air kinda put me on a budget for wheels and they are soo cheap. if i was to wait what would be some other wheels that would have the offset i need? i was lookin into gettin the works you have in black but after the air things changed a little.
i was also lookin into the racer x axis wheels, but now i see that everyone has them for 2 or 3 months and is sellin them. sayin that they rub real bad? the guys box with the lava paint and black x's that were just sold is the look that i want. i loved the way that the tire sits just under the flare but i dont want to be worrying about crazy rubbing up front. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...n/SV101558.jpg
There was also a guy with a black box and had 002's with -5 camber and he was flush. he had few treads saying bye bye sportmax, but now i cant find the thread or pics. i know what i want but have no idea how to get it.

| Re: Someone set me up. A good set of wheels with custom offsets ARE pricey. The ones on the white box above cost about $1500 with tires. The ones I have were $2000 without.
The problem with running +0 all around is the fronts need flares, they stick out too far otherwise, IMO. And the rears are OK without camber, but if you desire camber, it's not enough.
If you are on a budget, look at Memoryfab - Importing JDM, VIP, Luxury and European Car Parts for tuning. and RB Wheels Webstore, Presented by RB Motoring. They have nice used JDM wheels in good offsets that are afordable. And they are usually in pretty good shape. Both places can refinish them for you too.

| Re: Someone set me up. ok so what would be the perfect offset with and without flares? http://i132.photobucket.com/albums/q...ed-1copy-3.jpg
found it. this is a nice set up! does anyone no if he is runnin 15x7 or 15x8's (offset?) and if i didnt want to go with a -5 camber and maybe just a -3 or even -4 what would be the spacer that i would have to get to get it to come flush like this?

| Re: Someone set me up. Just a question... Do you plan to daily drive your car?
If so, you're going to be eating tires up with all that camber, and you do nasty camber on the rear, it is going to ride like crap, and be hard to control on higher speeds. Just ask Dooby.
I am running +10's all the way around, on a 15X7 wheel. I'm lowered a bunch, and run -2 on the front only.
BTW. These will be for sale here in August sometime. Going to a set of Speedy Race Modes 15x6.5 +40's. |

| Re: Someone set me up. yes this is my daily driver.. thanks for bringing that point but -3 is still to much? and are they hard to controll at high speeds with any camber? if so maybe i will do no camber. this is why im asking cause i dont want to spend the money then be pissed. i understand i will give up some ride comfort but u have to give a little to take. so is it possible to just get some 002's and run some spacers to bring it flush in the rear? thanks guys. |

| Re: Someone set me up. Anything is possible.
But for me, running -2 camber front is something I have to do. I am not doing it for the look, but to reduce rub on hard corners and bumps. I really tried to get away with not doing it, but I just couldn't. Which is one of the reasons why I am ditching these wheels, and going for the Speedy Race Modes.
Tires are just to expensive to replace because you wanted a flush look, and needed camber to pull it off.
Of course, if thats what you want, then by all means, go for it! |

| Re: Someone set me up. I don't have a problem with the -5 camberon my box. But I only daily drove it for a month after all the work was done, now it sits in the garage 90% of the time.
If you are worried at all, go with the setup on the white one above. Very flush all around, no camber, and no rubbing. At least he hasn't said anything about it. |

| Re: Someone set me up. Then that white one is running hella stiff compared to me. And I am on full firm with d2's and -2 camber. |
