| Rubbing question from a noob Hello to all. I wanted to ask a question before I went ahead and bought suspension and wheels. If I bought 15x8 , 0 offset, xxr wheels with tanabe df210 springs, will i need to roll the fenders? I am looking for nice wheels and a decent drop. I want it to be as comfortable as possible since my xb is my family ride. I will be riding around with my wife and 1 year old. Any help will be greatly appreciated. |

| Re: Rubbing question from a noob I rubbed like mad with my 0 offset 15x8's on S-techs, even after rolling the fenders. And the DF's drop a little lower than the S-techs. |

| Re: Rubbing question from a noob I would also like to know because about 3 hours ago i bought xxr 002 15x8 and some tein s techs. i will be using stockies for a while 185/60/15? but will switch over to 195/50/15? or was it 55? anyway is that going to cause rubbing? It will be mostly me and my girl about 300 lbs both of us. (mostly me lol) |

| Re: Rubbing question from a noob from what i've learned, pretty much anything with a 0 offset will rub if you drop it 2 inches, unless you have pretty low-profile tires. . . right?
But hey, at least you know those wheels will clear the brakes! |

| Re: Rubbing question from a noob Um...with a 2" drop..and people in the back..u'll prolly rub lightly like on bigger bumps..If u go with a 195/50 and stock fenders...If u get a bigger tire..U'll rub more...Roll the fenders with the smaller tires and u'll minimize rubbing a lot...but u'll still run on HARD bumps...lol...also depends on the shocks ur running, and how stiff they are...if u keep em stock..which ar enice and soft...great ride...but like i said..u'll rub on somewhat bigger bumps..prolly on the freeway and stuff...(Idk what the roads are like where u live)
Anyway..hopefully that helps |

| Re: Rubbing question from a noob -5 and -8 is alot of camber, definately wouldn't recomend that much on a daily driver. but if you can afford the tires, go for it, looks cool! The inside does wear faster. |

| Re: Rubbing question from a noob I have 16x8 with 0 offset, lowered on Hotchkis Springs. And I have major rubbing issues, Basically my car scrapes with more than 2 people in the car. Seems Fender rolling is a must. I know my tires are too big. Cause the more meat the better. I honestly believe no matter what tire size I have it'll still scrape. |

| Re: Rubbing question from a noob if it were me, I would go 195/45/15 from nexxen or the toyo's.
the 195/45 is high enough profile to stretch, giving you a little more room where it seems like you will need it ( at the fenders ) and looking at some pics of peoples rides here with comparable wheel/tire options should net you the look you want. I would say rolling the fenders doesnt look like a bad idea.
Mind you I have no personal experience with these rides though. I just know from past experience that a 215 on a wide wheel stretches, but the 195 will make you able to sit MUCH closer to flush. |
