Need input for getting new tires

So I got a 06.5 xb and can't stand the goodyears on my ride. I have hated Goodyear my whole life cause their tires, just completely SUCK!

I'm at 31k now and the tires r for crap. What I'm looking to do is get your guys input on GOOD all season tires that will handle the wonderful Chicago snow, and the mass potholes that magically appear when it thaws.

Sitting on stock steelies, with stock suspension. I want something that will put up with handling, but I want longer wear of a minimum of 50k or more in tire life. It can sit on stock tire size too if that helps. But I plan on buying soon before we get the 1st snowfall.

Thanks in advance peeps.

Re: Need input for getting new tires

I am getting a new set of Pirelli P4 Four Season tires on my 05 xB this week. I have researched this and find these should be great 85k tires for a good price too.

My alternate choice would have been BF Goodrich T/A.

Running Goodyear Viva 2 on wife's 06 xB for about 4 months now. No troubles at all--- rides good--- handles heavy rain very well--- but cost as much as better tires. We will see how they perform in winter.

I'm very happy with Yokohama AVID TRZ. Don't know how they are during snow or rain though since i'm in SoCal.

I had perellis before on another car. They were not too bad. I'll look into the bf goodrich traction tires and see. I always like bf goodrich. Would prefer to have them on all my cars.
