Need help from all Guru's (suspension and wheel/rim)

i just recently picked up a set of rims from a friend and need help buying new tires. the specs on wheels are 15x7 +10 on stock Eagle LS tires. we have all seen them before and on another xb as well, but i want something that has a smaller sidewall and a wee bit of stretch. now since i dont know a whole lot of info on wheels or tires for that matter - the numbers are starting to make me cross-eyed. so what i have narrowed it down to for tires are:

what it has now (Eagles boo):

1. 165/50/15
2. 175/50/15
3. 185/45/15
4. 195/45/15

I am also on bags, so i know the +10 will be fun to deal with on the front but the rear i have already decided on -3 camber. so any input to help me narrow it down and make it actually work while keeping it daily driven would be appreciated - thanks jay

layed them in front to see what they could look like once mounted:

go with the 165/50/15 for a good stretch, as for the fronts you shouldnt have any trouble running those specs. I ran 15x8's with +15 offset and was running spaced fenders up front an they barley toched. You might want to run a spacer up front. Oh yeah and im on baggs aswell

Jay, roll your rear fenders, you should be good. Though if you wanna roll dumped you'll need the camber. Spacing fenders should do it up front.

you will have TONS of trouble, SOOOO not worth it, you should just let me take those off your hands so you don't have to worry with all of that.

but yeah deff the 165s if you want a stretch. But if you just want a smaller tire, go with the 45 series, in the 195 or 185 width.

^you are a funny man my friend.....but i think i am gonna go with 195/45/15 with -3 camber in the rear. thanks for the info!

but on a side note, i have not been digging the gold so much so i thought i should change it up a bit......but again, need suggestions!

progress pics:

again how it started:

what i used and progress (left wheel stripped - right wheel 1st app dish only)

serious note: if you use this stuff, be full warned this is really bad for you cuz i found out the hard way

front shot of clean compared to 1st app (dish only):

side shot of progress:

done but needs wet-sanding and polishing:

now its down to picking a color for the face of the wheel - what do you think?

what they are going on (last yrs pic):

like the OG:

or Blk Dr-20:

I like the OG's look better. How about painting it with white instead of black?

good choice on tires, they will sit you on the ground with that size.

as for color, and since I did not pick them up for my self I will tell you what I was going to do with them.

Just like the OGs, black with the outside of the center silver, but was also going to do the lips black as well. Them keep the "rivets" chrome as well.

or what about white centers, and black lips?
or black centers and white lips?

I'm not sure how close it would be to polar white, but you could use the industrial rustoleum. That shit holds up and has a nice gloss to it. I used it on all the bumpers/wheels on my VW bus and have had no issues with rust.

You could also order some PW in a spray can from paintscratch.
