I'm doing some wheel shopping and was wondering how white rims looked on the PW xB. Also, where can I find some, it seems like onbody is doing white wheels anymore except the OZ rally ones. So far I'm thinking about this possibly:

Sportmaxx XXR 507W, white insert, black lip


Anyone know of other black / white combo rims? I don't want to do the black face, polished lip, I'm trying to keep as much shiny off as possible on this one, make everything purely black and white.

That's perfect, but I'm guessing he had them painted / powdercoated. I can't find the white / black combo anywhere, or any type A for that matter.

Also, I'm hoping to hold a wheel / tire combo to under $1,000 or so, not looking foir something hyperexotic, custom, or that has a 10-week import delay.

Yeah, got the second b, that's why I'm wheel shopping. Picture still has the plastic covers, but right now I'm on steelies w/ the stainless trim ring, NAPA center cap and chrome gorilla lugs. Not a bad look but I'd like an upgrade. Had to also throw in a 10mm rear hub spacer to get them close to flush with the body kit.



I've found a few other options to consider.

I know I said no polished lips, but these kinda caught my eye: Ti Wheels Ti7


There's also the ever-present Tenzo though I don't like the red ring on the lip: Tenzo DC-6 Version 1


There's these ones too, though it has the polished center face and I can't tell lip color: Speedy Lite-7

It's not a real kit, just fake fiberglass. The only real part is the foglights came from a Lexus and are actual Toyota glass. If you're looking for more pics, do a search for user iceboxx5, I bought it from him, though it was put back to stock first minus the body kit. Weather has been crappy so I don't have many pics yet.

I can't even find the borbet's to even get a price, do they sell them in the US?

a dude in our club up here has them in chrome, i believe he ordered them from Europe.

Well, I found out from Iceboxx there's a Borbet-style wheel from ESM, the style 009. He sold the xB to me to buy a Jetta and got them through the VW peeps. I was up there last week to pick some things up and we put them in front of the xB wheels, I should have grabbed a picture. I'm thinking grey and chrome, mask the chrome then spray the grey white w/ the auto body paint.

Nice, what sizes do they come in?

Right now I can only find them in a package deal 16"x7.5", 4x100 front and 16"x9", 4x100 rear. They're mainly for the VW set. Was hoping to find 7.5" all around, don't see the point of a staggered fit on a FWD car.
