does anyone know if i can use a blank (uncut) Tc key with the alarm buttons for lock/unlock on the key itself be use for our xb. mines an o6 btw.

i posted pics below, instead of having seprerate keys/remote..it'll be all in one. let me know if i can do this im about to buy a set, i lost my remote and keys only riding around in my spare right now.

I would guess that it is like a garage door opener you might be able to reset it to do it, but I would check with the dealer maybe if no one chimes in!

ok i looked around and found this on scion life, with this procedure i would think its possable, but who knows. someone needs to buy a tc key and try it, are the keys the same? any one nkow that?

5. Turn ignition switch from LOCK to ON to OFF three times, leaving the key on for one second and off for one second each time.
6. Remove the key from the ignition lock.

The doors will lock and unlock themselves at about 2 second intervals. The number of times that the doors lock is the number of remotes that are programmed into the car. If the car locks/unlocks 5 times, there are no codes registered.


Add mode. To add a remote without disturbing existing remotes:

It has been done with a toyota key I think.... i thought the chocolate rocket had this.
