Thanks for the help - radio is set to Xb, and I too think it sounds better. By the way, earlier, I did go through the radio manual and I could not find the instructions you gave me.

rebump...i remembered reading this way back when i 1st joined..so the new used xb i bought less then 2 weeks ago...i thought the stereo sounded like crap...so i went and just did this...yep...bone stock car all set to the tc model...changed it to xb...will have to listen to it for a while to see if i like it or the xa setting...thanks again guys...
oh, and btw...i checked my manual (which is only about 4 pages) and it didnt have dick about these settings in it... | |

There is another radio trick. You can change the welcome screen when you first turn on the car. You can find the instructions in the owners manual for the radio on page 22-23. | |
