| Final answer: the Gold stereo cable from Radio shack worked! Yahoo!
Now I just have to decide which ipod to buy. I'm leaning towards the most memory possible. |

BTW, someone just got a great deal on my 06 iPod upgraded head unit, connector and customer connection cable, all for 300 bucks! |

| Does the iPod Mini work with the iPod port on the rs3.0? I was considering a Nano, but if the Mini will also work I might go for it instead. I'd rather use the iPod connector than the minijack option, so I want to make sure the connector works with the Mini. |

I used both a 20 gig and a mini in mine and they both worked great. |

| If you're a college student, you get a free iPod with a computer purchase. |

not to bash or flame but the minis are old news to me and 140 or so for refurbished goods on a 4Gb HDD...you might as well get a nano. they are smaller and more stylish, but thats me. i bought a 30Gb Video. a few of my friends have the 60 and its like a bar of soap with few more hours of battery. the 30 is a nice size and shape for me. not too big in size or too shallow in memory.
and it comes in neutral colors BLACK AND WHITE. |

| Re: ipod and the xB Buy the line in/line out chord, you know the chord from best buy or any electronic store it has a headphone jack on each side. Then plug one into your ipod and the other into the AUX port under the emergency brake and whammy
You have your tunes, radio transmitters suck at least my past ones did. the chord is a much better solution. |

| Re: ipod and the xB when I first hooked my iPod up to the aux., the sound was terrible. All you could hear were the words, none of the actual music was coming through. But when I swapped the aux. cable around, and plugged the ends in the opposite way, it sounded normal. Anybody else experience that? I didn't think that would make a difference. |

| Re: ipod and the xB I've never encountered a transmitter that was any good - spend a buck and hard-wire it or upgrade to even an '06 HU (<$70 on eBay) and then you can wire in an aux port that will work with any mini jack out. |

| Re: ipod and the xB This may be a silly question but does the ipod come with a connector for the ipod input in the center console? I have a aux jack input for my ipod but don't know if i have the connector for the ipod input.... |
