Which Gps sounds best in your opinion?

Hi everyone,
I am looking at getting a gps and i am having a tough time deciding between two gps navigation systems. the trick is is that i would like to watch dvds on it too so my girlfriend has something to watch on long trips . i realize i could get an in dash system, but i am going this route so i can easily move it from one vehicle to another. i have pros and cons for each. i found both on ebay for almost the same price so that reason is thrown out.first off..
Garmin Nuvi 5000-
GARMIN NUVI 5000 GPS AUTO NAVIGATION 2009 V10 FREE SHIP - eBay (item 220354343322 end time Apr-01-09 22:25:05 PDT)
and Initial GD-71
Initial GD-71 GPS Receiver PLUS 7 " DVD Player (NEW) - eBay (item 250392306594 end time Apr-17-09 22:06:26 PDT)

i really like how the Initial gps unit has the built in dvd player, but the Nuvi has composite input so i could hook up a dvd player. the initial gps has a battery, whereas the nuvi does not. the initial does have a 7" screen where the nuvi is a 5.2" but i was able to demo a nuvi at best buy and really like the features and how easy it was to navigate through the menus.i dont know if i would like the menus in the initial, because i have not seen it in person. From what research i have done on the internet, i believe the initial gps is discontinued, so if i had a problem with it, i wouldnt be able to exchange it for a new one. both systems have alot of features, but i cant decide whether i want a newer one that i need a seperate dvd player, or if i want an older one the has a built in dvd player. thank you for any input i am given. i am bad at making decisions and i trust in the people at clubxb to give me good input. thanks again

Lets see if the morning people have any opinions

I'd stick with the Garmin, simply because I've not had much luck with the lesser named brands of GPS out there. Plus, I sell Garmin stuff at work all of the time, and I know that their stuff is good quality.

(I honestly have a TomTom One25, because it was only $99, and I hardly ever use it. I just took it out of the box after purchasing it in November)

Save your money and get the cheap GPS like TomTom that sticks to your windsheild. Your girlfriend should have other things to keep her occupide on long trips. (hence your screen name)

Sorry this was all for the sake of a laugh.

Garmin has the best set of features above and beyond just the GPS. Besides, an indash unit will not let you watch DVDs while the vehicle is moving.
