Scion xB Audio, Video, & Security Scion xB in car entertainment (aka Scion xB I.C.E.). With all the room available the sky is the limit when adding Scion xB car audio and video. While you're tinkering with the Scion xB electrical system why not install a Scion xB security system.

Did I pay to much?

Hey guys,

I'm probably just over thinking this hear but I went out to sound sensations on my side of town. They are known for their car stereoes and custom lighting down in Georgia. I purchased a sub and sub box amp and 2 lights cathode lights under driver passenger and back seats (1 in feet 1 under seat for front and 1 under each back seat.) I'm gona post a detailed item list tomorrow the guy printed me out a receit but I forgot to ask for a list of the items.

What ya think? Does that sound about right or does it sound outragous? The sub was 125? amp was 100 plus install and the lights were 50 for a set of two and 45 install on each. Opinions?

My total was around 1100 for all of it.

Thx,
Chris

Re: Did I pay to much?

Ok, I called first thing this morning and asked him to detail me out what exactly everything was again and here it is.

Amp cost 349.99 And it is MPX 400IMS
Sub 169.999 (normally 249.99) Its a 5500 in a sledgehammer box
150 install on those
+60$ in wires and high low converter for 39.99
taxes that was a total of 806.59 (Just for sub and amp)
and then I bought an extended warrenty on the sub/amp for 60

now lighting is 30 per pair of 2
I got 3 pair (2 in front by feat, 2 under seat and 2 in back)
50 for each install on those so 150+90=240 for lights

He said the install on lights was costly because they take front seats out and carpets and such to run them and making no wires show. They are streetglow brand 12" led strips.

What ya think?

Re: Did I pay to much?

I've built two systems for scions, both custom 1-off pieces and that is high. But if its done its done. Cant do anything about it know but chalk it up to experience and don't make the same mistake again.
Next time you decide to put a little bass in, check with your local Scion club for references.
