Scion xB Audio, Video, & Security Scion xB in car entertainment (aka Scion xB I.C.E.). With all the room available the sky is the limit when adding Scion xB car audio and video. While you're tinkering with the Scion xB electrical system why not install a Scion xB security system.

Re: Can you install an '08 head unit in an '06?

Yeah the only problem now is the 05's werent pre wired with the ipod control.. so now I need to buy a couple harness's. No big deal though, its a nice deck to have. And I dont think I have to worry bout it getting stolen because its a factory deck.

Re: Can you install an '08 head unit in an '06?

there is a guy on scionlife and also ebay that sells the custom built wiring harness for the 08 deck in the 04-05's. Its 70 and then you can use the deck to control the ipod...

So basically the '08 Navi can be installed in a '06 with no problems? Anything that I should be aware of? Any info would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

Ok just to put my 2 cents in. i have retro fitted an 08 nav into an 06 tC. Toyota has used the same wire harness since 1984. ive also put a first gen scion head unit into my sisters 91 camry. hooked right up and fit the double din perfectly.

ok ok ok, I have the og scion xb a 2004 without steering wheel controls. Can I upgrade to the premium pioneer package;
Part Number: PT546-00081. And add xm or sirus radio to it and make it work?
