Scion xB Audio, Video, & Security Scion xB in car entertainment (aka Scion xB I.C.E.). With all the room available the sky is the limit when adding Scion xB car audio and video. While you're tinkering with the Scion xB electrical system why not install a Scion xB security system.

Re: Anyone have experience with the Pioneer AVIC-F900BT

It is just stock right now. I am thinking of putting the bazooka sub in the back but nothing extreme. Most of my money is going into performance mods.

Re: Anyone have experience with the Pioneer AVIC-F900BT

The unit is really easy to remove from the dash. Have you tried disconnecting the unit and re-connecting to reset it? I suppose disconnecting the negative battery cable and re-connecting should do the same thing.

Sorry for the double post. I've also noticed with this head unit that if you start fiddling with controls other than the volume before the unit completely boots up it tends to get confused and not function properly.

Hi, is this the same unit as AVIC-X910BT? And is the Pioneer AVIC-F900BT the stock on in the RS 6.0? Thanks

Re: Anyone have experience with the Pioneer AVIC-F900BT

I have an RS 6, and the 900BT is the nav it comes with. I played with the Scion nav first, and found this unit far easier to use. The sound quality is great and the stuff you can do with it is amazing. You can play music and movies from a cd, DVD, thumb drive, SD card, or your iPod (which is great for me - I now have a 120gb media center in my dash). Also, with a bit of hacking, you can basically do whatever you want with this unit - from custom skins to making it an in-dash pc. The screen may not be as big as Scions Nav, but it is way bigger than any portable system you can buy, and does sooooo much more.

Pioneer AVIC-F900BT iPod Cable and Reset

Hi,

I have the 2009 RSXB. Does anyone know how to extend the cable so my phone doesn't have to live in the glove box?

I don't use the NAV on the F900 much as I find it cludgy to enter addresses and look up say... "restaurants". Garmin, Google, everyone does it better than Microsoft. Great stereo though!

There is a pinhole reset button to the left of the disc eject button (upper left). But use with caution... "Pressing RESET button clears almost all settings
of the audio function" RTFM.

The manual is available on the pioneer website.

I paid my 09 off when i bought it which left me broke and shortly after I lost my job. I was considering buying this system at first but I think I'll wait until it comes down in price.

these units are basically the same except a couple features they added in to the x series of the headunits you can always go to pioneer usa website to tell you the differences between the units

If it is a iPod/iPhone cable then the connection from the head unit is actually a USB port which the iPod/iPhone cable is then plugged into. Squeeze the side of your glove box inwards when it is open which will pop out your glove box. Follow the cable and you should see the connection I am talking about. I would imagine you could pick up a longer cable form Fry's, not sure where you are at but amazon.com would have it as well. You could even then run it to a different area in the car for easier access just saying
