Air Vent Tweeters Has anyone put tweeters in the air vents on the dash? My system could use some more highs and thought about putting tweeters in the air vents. Something maybe half as big as the hole so air could flow around it. Mount it so you could move the speakers in the same directions as the flaps. What do you think?

Re: Air Vent Tweeters But then when your heater is running, you might experience some meltin due to the heat. I'd thought about it, but then changed my mind about it. It's a good idea cus itll " hide" your tweeter, but in reality it's not.

Re: Air Vent Tweeters Have you upgraded the OE dash speakers? That is originally a 2" tweeter, but a 4" speaker will fit in there perfectly.

Re: Air Vent Tweeters I had some holes dremmeled out right next to the main speakers plus have the dash speakers replaced with 4's. (the components are kicker). I've read and heard that for better sound you will want to put the tweets as near the main speakers (6 1/2) as possible. Mine sound great.

Re: Air Vent Tweeters i did a 3.5" in the air vent - all clarion mids and highs! so far no problem with condensation/rust or air pushing on speaker to where it doesn't work properly. oh yeah, since your pretty much sitting in front of them.....they scream!
