Scion xB Audio, Video, & Security Scion xB in car entertainment (aka Scion xB I.C.E.). With all the room available the sky is the limit when adding Scion xB car audio and video. While you're tinkering with the Scion xB electrical system why not install a Scion xB security system.

300/4 bit the dust... kinda

OK i have a jl300/4, right now times are to tough to send it into jl to be repaired the "right" way.

this is what happens,
it powers up and plays the music fine at low sound levels, when i turn up the head unit it cuts out then once i turn it back down it comes back on.

once power is sent to the amp the power light comes on then approx 6 seconds pass and the low impedance light comes on.

i know it is the amp itself, i bench tested the amp (with a battery outside of the vehicle) and the lights came on.

is there anything i could look for inside the amp (burn marks) or something similar or do you think that an electronics repair store could possibly repair it?

when you cant see or hear it smell where the vents are out, if it is a recent problem youll be able to pick up on the nasty smell of burning metals.
