| Re: 12" sub ...cant remember, its gritty stuff for getting rid of the bumps and low spots and 400 and 800 for the final touchs...and higher after a few sanding on primer. |

| Re: 12" sub Here is what I use, start w/ 36grt then 80grt to 180. 600 is plenty for paint, higher the better, but I wouldn't paint on anything finer than 800. You can prime on 180 if you are using decent primer. |

If you pretty much have all the dips and dents filled, and are using filler you might not need to go as rough as 36grt, but it will really knock it down. Sand just until you start seeing the layer underneath and switch to 80. Don't use the 36 when you get to your last coats of filler, primer will most likely shrink into 80 grt and lower and you will see it in your paint later. Make sure you use atleast 180 to get out all 80 grt scratches.
You probably already know most of the above info, maybe not.

| Re: 12" sub i have MDF and f/g blocking the sub, its a sealed box, plus the sub may be kinda hard on the window. she has a suede in mind or somthin, idk what she wants yet. |
