Re: WTB many items Im just getting started!

The only reason i like the inchannel ones is i was thinking of putting carbonfiber pcs on the window posts, so didnt think the others would fit over the top or would look good? Guys yes i know JDM lol i have a modified 350z also This is my DD so i dont plan on spending big money on the trivial things like this, but will buy quality intake, exhaust, etc. My money goes to the Z and to guns...

BTW love the box above, that's sweet. What tailights are those? i dont really care for the clear ones that are factory on mine.
Also once again thanks for the help guys, i need to get some pics of my new box and post them in a pic/color thread i guess.

Are all the xb's wired for bazooka tubes? And are the 8" ones that say they are made for the xb for toyota different then a regular powered 8" bazooka tube?
BTW i was told they were wired already for this, doesnt matter if it's not as im perfectly capable of the wiring but it would make it easy if it's already there.

Another question is suggestion on where yall buy your parts? like intake, exhaust etc. thanks heaps

Re: WTB many items Im just getting started!

The Bazooka tube from the factory comes with a harness that plugs and play, but if you didn't buy it from the factory or pick up a factory one then it wont plug in play. I could be wrong. I don't see why an aftermarket bazooka tube would come with a harness for a Scion, so i don't think it will fit you will have to do some modding.

I installed my tube in about 30 minutes, but i got the tube from someone who got it from Toyota so the harness was plug and play.

P.S. the tails above are TYC (bottom pic) which are from toyota as well, I believe i still have mine if you want to swoop on em for cheap. Let me know and I will take a look see in the garage when i get a moment.

yer going to spend money, might as well do it right and get the right parts the first time instead of getting inferior parts and paying later.

Intake - Go with either Injen or Fujita cai for better pull on fwy or sri for quicker response on street. Check with Ryan at Next Level Motoring - Custom Car Parts & Accessories! or check with any of our authorized vendors here on site.

Exhaust - TRD is nice yet for the price, might as well go with TANABE MEDALION. If you have to have TRD, then best you go to stealership and give your money away or if you want TRD because of warranty, then just pay the price. Check with Ryan at Next Level Motoring - Custom Car Parts & Accessories! or check with any of our authorized vendors here on site.

Wheels, the bread and butter - I would suggest you go with either 15, 16 or 17 for wheels, and CONSIDER offset! Depending on the style yer going for.
17, you can have the wheels close to the fender (you didn’t mention "drop" and that’s maybe due to your xB being a DD.) for flushness.
16 being the oem, and 15 with meat on tire for comfort compared to 18.
You can spend from $400 to $1500 depending on style, size, w/tires, w/o tires, new, used, rare wheels. Even if its yer DD, you want to have NICE wheels.
btw, tires on 18 is going to cost you. Then again you now all this ish, since you put money into yer z. Check with Ryan at Next Level Motoring - Custom Car Parts & Accessories! or check with any of our authorized vendors here on site.

Rear bumper protector - scion has one and its okay unless you scrape or drop something on it. Someone here on CxB has used the rubber coating from a rattle can for a thicker surface and cheaper than buying one from the dealer.

Grillecraft grille, yer engine bay is going to be filthy as a back alley whore. Stay with the oem and save money. Other alternative is to purchase the “padanky grill” for that clean grille with the emblem delete (shaved). Check with padanky here on site, hes a good ole bastard or check with any of our authorized vendors here on site for other styles.

Window visor - High percentage of those who have owned the “in channel” visors have run into problems with the felt/rubber seals dropping/sagging in the latter and the visors have cracked due to inferior material. Go with bB visor, PERIOD. Check with Yukimi at myautofashion.com

Audio – Check with yer local audio performance shops. It’s better to stay local for the convenience. i.e. install, warranty, upgrades, etc.

Scion illumination kit – Stealership if not check with Jason aka: SCVSCIONS here on site. He is one of our trusted authorized vendors or check with any of our authorized vendors here on site.

L.E.D dome light – It can be had at any automotive shop. I got my bright white LED dome light for $12. You can also check with any of our authorized vendors here on site.

Quality header – DC Sports, Megan. Check with any of our authorized vendors here on site.

Btw, you didn’t mention lowering springs or coilovers since yer vehicle is “going” to be a DD. You can have a nice drop and not compromise the ride with Goldline springs or Spy springs. If you go with coilovers, then CKS, TEIN. KSports or others will benefit yer ride. Check with Ryan at Next Level Motoring - Custom Car Parts & Accessories! or check with any of our authorized vendors here on site.

Good luck on yer find and welcome to yer newest addiction. Get the goods, and yer DD will love you long time.

Re: WTB many items Im just getting started!

I have the Esam style over the CF pillars. They are not an exact fit but get the job done. BTW, the pillars are thin strips of sticky CF, so you can cut them with a box cutter or scissors. I might have them up for sale too at way <$100 shipped if you want.

I have a set of 18" TRD-style rims and tires (used) for cheap if you want, but the shipping would kill you...still cheaper than new, however. I can send you some pics. Perfect for a DD as I am in a similar situation.

Re: WTB many items Im just getting started!

Sure send pics w/prices to idwin@comcast.net

btw is the bazooka tube worth a dang in the xb? Ive had a 10 powered one years ago and it was alright, but sure wasnt setting off any alarms lol

good news and bad. I found some reciepts in the box w/previous owners name. I called him up and he said it had zero problems and it was a great lil truck. He also stated he ran mobil 1 synthetic in it and was religous on oil changes. He said the dated and times of oil changes were in the glove box( Nope dealer took that out) he said there was a K&N filter in it Nope dealer gave me a new paper one but it is prewired for amps and sub. Yeah all that is still there tucked away were he told me, all rockford fosgate wiring. receipt for the tires were in there also, a lil over 1k on them sweeeeeet. He told me he had all the stereo he took out, a fosgate sub in box,amp and a pioneer headunit? i got to wait til tomorrow for pics but he said he'd take 200 for all of it include dash kit and harness. sounds like a good deal to me consider model numbers.

I think a header/exhaust/filter is going to be the mod list i start with, although i want a interior illumination kit.

Uggggh i can see this thing is going to get my mod money till spring until i break the z out of its winter slumber.

Idwin,

I bought my xB for a DD also and now some $50 g's later I still drive it daily just not too work because of the acid rain that comes from the stacks and the screwed up rail road tracks.

Re: WTB many items Im just getting started!

Well bumpage still looking for parts!
I can scratch the cabin illumination kit,new plugs, and cabin filter off the list

OK guys a vendor of my 350z crew can get me a TRD axleback exhaust for $275 and a Injen short ram intake for $168 are these good prices? and worthy mods... Please let me know ASAP as these are actually sale items.
Thanks yall

Dang i can also get Hotchkis sways front and rear for $203 or the full kit sways/springs for $368.
I have the Hotchkis kit on my 350Z and i really like it. I know people will prolly say its not enough of a drop but i cant have something that's slammed(although it looks great) unless i got a bagged which i dont want to spend that amount of money at this time. Once again appreciate the help and pm's...

Re: WTB many items Im just getting started!

for HKS front anti sway - do it, the springs are probably decent - i never had - never heard many complaints other than they aren't the lowest springs you can get.

the intake is basically the price you'll pay for it almost any where used - almost no mark up

no idea on the exhaust but same look like 3% markup

Here you go, Fujita SRI 80.00, Tanabe axle back 200.00. Seen it first hand, good condition, and legit seller.
