05 Oregon (corvallis/Eugene)

Slightly modified 2005 Scion xB: $15,999.99 58K miles

For pics: scionlife.com/profile/singleshot

Bought new in August of 05, totally stock and have done a few modifications to it through the years. All but a couple of the items were specifically designed for the xB, so everything works as it suppose to and runs like a dream. The first two years of its life was spent being shown at various car shows, where it won a few and lost a few more, but it always generated interest.

The theme design for the car was done a little out of the “norm” for what is being shown at the import shows, so it held it’s own, but never excelled. Regardless, it is a sharp car with nothing but high quality parts throughout. I can guarantee that nothing I purchased for this car was cheap; it was either a well built part or it didn’t get put on the car.

I personally installed every part on the car (minus the lowering kit, custom paint and custom seat material). I take too much pride in my stuff to have someone install something that doesn’t care about the car they are working on.

I had a vision of what this car would look like when I was finished, and I succeeded in it. Sadly, I’m done with it and had fun while I was at it, but it’s time for it to find a new home and for me to find a new project to throw my time and money at. If you’re wondering about gas mileage, I generally get between 29 and 33 MPG. It is driven almost exclusively on the highways, so I have no idea what it would get in straight city driving.

Where to start?

On the exterior: (I’ll list out everything that didn’t come on the basic model)
Rear wing
Fog lights
Front window tint (legal Oregon %)
Chrome side skirts
Chrome window trim
3-Piece billet aluminum grill
Silver tail light garnish (just an overlay to give the tails a different look)
Ultra violet LED’s in the door handles
Painted silver flames outlined in magenta
Matching magenta pin stripes front to back (ornate)

Interior:
Seats and door inserts completely redone in Micofiber (black and white)
Center arm rest
Various chrome replacement parts (door plungers/stick shift surround) (tasteful)
Multi color LED’s in the dash air vent (strobing)
Eclipse 5495 Navigation/DVD head unit (built in 30 gig hard-drive)
Eclipse front speakers and tweets (cross-over’s inside dash)
Front speakers ran by a Phoenix gold amp
Eclipse EA 4000 amp running the rears and sub
Phoenix gold rear speakers
Scosche 10” sub enclosure in floor (does not reduce trunk space)
Audiovox headrest monitors/DVD players (either sourced together or stand alone dvd)
Wireless headphones for headrest monitors
Completely custom amp rack in rear (very little loss of room with the design)
Amp rack fully lit with Ultra violet LED’s.

Under the hood/power train modifications/Suspension
K&N cold air intake
TRD short shifter
TRD Springs and struts
TRD header (one of only a couple that I know of here in the US)
TRD muffler (magnaflow tip)
DC strut brace
Optima red top battery
Killer glass (pyrex radiator hose w/red LED)
Polished stainless engine cover and false firewall
Works Leadsled wheels and brand new Toyo rubber (daily driver, so they are getting used, daily)

A couple odds and ends that I’ve done are:
Sound deadener installed in doors/trunk lid and on the floor from the trunk to just behind the front seats.
Installed an extra 12V plug under dash
Piaa euro horns (500 and 600 Hz)(touted as “euro horns”, regardless, they’re loud)
Rear side markers shaved

I have almost all the original parts I’ve replaced through the years, so bring a truck if you plan on buying it.

Car history:
I hit a raccoon shortly after I purchased the car, which destroyed the attachment points for the bumper skirt. It was all replaced and I kept the original bumper for a project that I was going to try, but never got to. So you can see what damage was done and that it was in fact replaced.

I had the rear side markers shaved off and the paint on the rear bumper redone, which turned out to be less than the quality that I had come to expect from the shop that did it. Regardless of that, the paint is cracking on the bumper skirt. It is purely cosmetic and is unnoticeable from a standing distance.

Lastly; The custom paint has taken a beating from rock chips and general road debris. It still looks great, but it is showing the fact that it is a daily driver. I know these last three paragraphs sound a little down, but I put a great amount of time, effort and money into the car, so it bothers me a great deal to see all that get beat up.

Let me end this “book” with this; I do not need to sell this car, so low-ballers or tire kickers look else where. If you come out and pick the car apart on flaws that you see, I will leave and that’s the last you will see of me. I know every flaw on this car, pointing them out will gain you nothing, and in general, piss me off.

If you are a thief and your desire is to case my car, feel free. I live on 10 acres in the woods. Nobody even blinks when they hear a gun shot. I will bury you Motel Hell style and let the crows eat your eyeballs. Believe me, the world will not miss you.

Re: 05 Oregon (corvallis/Eugene)

good luck with the sale, but some notes:

post pics here so we can see not having to go searching for em

of course most people on here already own an xb and very few looking for a second on already built

and i think the price may a lil reach but can be done if the right buyer comes along

but still good luck
