All in all i paid just over 18K for my RS1. That includes all taxes ( 6% in NJ ) dealership charges, GAP insurance, 100K mile warrenty and 4% interest.

When the RS1 hit the scene years ago, there were several dealerships that were doing the price gouging thing. From what i saw, some dealerships lost the right to sell Scions on their lots because of it. It took away from the principal of pure pricing.

Oh ... and i have said it before on other forums, but 2.2K for 2 head rest tvs, a in dash dvd player and paint is a hell of a lot less then the RS1 and slightly less the the RS2 as far as options over cost.

Our RS2 was only 15,400!! Two grand less than RS3!

'bout like me. I paid 18.1k cash for the RS1 - and was perfectly happy to do so. It came with a few accesories that I didn't really care about, but nothing major (bpillar c/f, TYC tails etc... little stuff)

If it's FAIR and I don't think you're gouging - i could care less what you charge - I'll buy it. Paid 16.6k cash for the white box. Same deal... seemed fair enough even though I knew that technically the base price was a grand lower.

I own a business too... I understand the dealer isn't there to hand out cars at cost - they have expenses too - wouldn't begrudge them a little profit of a grand or two. I'm quick to show a 'customer' the door when they start that car sales bargaining crap with me. That's their business - as long as it's fair - we're good to go. (double charging for a few line items is not my definition of "fair")
