RWD as cool as that would be, just pushes it way out of budget, and increases the downtime on the car. | |

Well Cody and I figured we can do the full swap for under or around $2K.
A local shop sells the motor for $900ish. That is a full engine, ECU, Wire harness, and tranny. The remaining $1100 is to be spend on either a Megasquirt Standalone, or Greddy Emange. Modifying the frame rails to accept and bolt the new motor/trans in. And in my case, adding manual transmission set up to convert from an automatic. Which is ECU, pedals, shift linkage, shifter, and slave cylinder.
Oh I didn't get squat accomplished today, because I was drafted to go down to Louisville for a Mazda meet with a friend of mine. Wasn't a bad time. They had a Chili cook off, some bs'ing, followed by a backroad cruise, and then back to the guys house where it all started.... Back at the house, I was in a epic Nerf Dart gun battle with some of the kids that came with their parents. | |
