| My xB caught fire today
I need help..does anyone know if there have been any recalls for the xB. My xB was all stock except for rims and springs and the dash caught fire today. The fire looked like it started behind the radio. Car is a total loss. |

Kind of ironic, with your screen name, don't you think? That sucks though, i haven't heard of any recalls, but i thought some other guy's burned up, but i think it was a Gen 2. |

You can PM me the pics and I will post them for you. Sorry to hear about your car. I know a few have caught fire, but most if not all have been do to wiring for mods/stereo.
I had a stereo wire break and start sparking everywhere. Luckily I caught it shortly after it happened.

Damn, that hurts! you have insurance right? Since it was mostly stock, you should be able to do alright replacing it. | |

On a lighter note, you may be able to sell off some of those burnt up body panels to the hood ride, rust, and rat rod guys on here! | |

Insurance will probably claim the car if they are willing to replace it, but if they don't then you can part it out or start a rebuild project. | |

the roof was severly warped from the heat and fireman tore up the hood getting it opened | |
