I got my new sportmax 002's today and was super stoked!!! these are my first real mod's. BUT when my girlfriend opened the bathroom door and some them she was like "what are these boxes?!?!?!" her eyes got a little watery. then she said "you're such an inconsiderate piece of sh!t!!!" and slammed the door? I bought these with my OWN money for $345?! I never really told her i bought rims and was planning on telling her when i had em mounted. She doesnt know i bought tein springs either. been together for 2 years and 9 months... am i wrong or she over reacting???

Your not married to her... It's Your Money... Your Car... Your decision...
She has no reason to be upset with you, unless of course you flaked on her birthday or anniversary last week or if she has been making the monthly payments on the car for you or covering your half of the rent or something of the sort. (These are only hypothetical scenarios, and I am in no way implying that any of these have happened or are happening). If not, she seems to feel some sort of entitlement to your pocket book when she has no official claim to it. She is probably thinking something like, 'Why is he spending that money on his car and not on (a ring for) me? Does he care about his car more than he cares about me?'
If that is her reaction to the wheels then what will be her reaction to the springs you have already ordered or the underglow you will want or the custom paint job that is undoubtedly in your mind as it is with the rest of us?

She doesn't pay for anything and i haven't missed a bday or anniv. as a matter of fact we've gone to orlando disney/universal like 8 times in the time we've been going out. She LOVES orlando. maybe thats y shes mad...orlando money went to rims...
thats funny, cuz i let the Mrs. pick the wheels.... thats y i have a new set every few months lmao.... i love it, she can never make up her ind and it is a good thing with this.... but shes still on the fence with the interior thats y its not C.F. and suede yet.... but soon, i can feel it happening lol

I say if she's gonna trip about u spending your money and u keep taking her out it's time for a big talk. Most girls will never understand why we guys mod our cars but hey that's just the way it goes. Like Scotty said she's your gf and not your wife. U can either be whooped and do as she wants. Or be a man and slap her in the face with some make up sausage and call it a day. If she's still not happy. I say she's digging for gold. LoL
my wife is not much into cars yet, she knows cars due to the fact i love cars, and she loves to see me happy as i mod the vehicles. she brings joy to me heart.......shes the BEST!
btw, my daughter loves to mod and get her hands on the car also. btw, shes only 9 years old.
my wifes the same too! she knows about cars and im teaching her how to do new things to cars and not she wants a scion of her own to mod it too. its rub'd off on her lol hahaha
My wife does the same thing sometimes, but most the time she just says "well now I get to go shopping." Thats why I keep my mods cheap, or sell mods to get new ones, (grilles).
