| Contemplating selling. THinking of selling the box. Maybe it's because I haven't got to drive it all summer with the engine being apart. I still haven't got the head back from Gude from the second time around. He had to order a special die to cut domes of the head after milling too much off.
I just got an email saying my NCP30 bumper and Vert front lip are finally here, after ordering in May. So I will finally be able to get it looking good again too.
Not suer what to do. I have some more JDM goodies sitting here waiting to be put on too. Like some Ichicoh's and bB lighted cup holder to mention a couple.
If I do sell, I am not parting out though. It's a '05 I bought in Sep. of '04 and it only has 21,xxx on it too. Would $15k be asking too much. |

| Re: Contemplating selling. If I get rid of it, I may go with a '72 Celica GT. That's where my mirrors are from. Kinda feeling old school.
If I go new school, I will most likely go bippu vanning. Not sure on what though. Affection has some sweet stuff for Vans. So does Vert. Maybe keep with the same company I have now. Not sure.
I may feel different about it once I get it back on the road again. But at current rate, it will be spring by then since I won't drive it once the snow flies. |

| Re: Contemplating selling. 15k is what all the dealerships want for first gen boxes with 40k+ miles.
But I'd say keep it. Be inside a box while thinking outside of it. |

| Re: Contemplating selling. I have, but I still see stock '05's at dealers for $14k. I ahve over $5k in extra's, rare extra's at that. Hell, my lip kit is the only one of it's kind in the US.
Plus, VERY LOW MILEAGE. |

| Re: Contemplating selling. Oh, you guys are great, by far my favorite forum ever. Most others are filled with retards. I will definately stick around, give advise, locate parts for people, and share my new project. |

| Re: Contemplating selling. "IF" you were to sell yer box, get it back to stock as much as possible. dealership is not going to care to pay extra for any parts on the box. if anything, its a headache for them to have their staff take it all off and then having to order new parts to replace whats needed to get it back close to stock. they usally have no problem with "nice" set of wheels and good tires on them. they will end up tacking on another <1500> onto their sticker.
i was able to get 14.5k for trading in ThunderGod.
better off for you to sell yer authentic ish to yer fellow enthsaists and spread the love. btw, when i sold ThunderGod, i was able to recoup 90% of goods in cash flow.
i on the other hand know that, once you put all that COOL stuff on yer baby, youll change yer mind and new inspiration will come about.
gluck!
btw, if you sell parts, im first in line for everything. |

| Re: Contemplating selling. With this current market your gonna have a hard time getting anything more than blue book for the box. Like the others said, best bet is to part out the extras, put it back to stock then off it. |

| Re: Contemplating selling. Damn Tim. I think itll be hard to recoop the majority of the money, even with badass parts. Your best chance is part out, which you dont want. If for some reason you do, we will definitely be talking Ill drive to East Iowa to even deal. |
