20 bucks says you lock you keys in the car at least twice in the next year because you forgot to turn the buzzer back on. lol. |

| Re: Door Buzzer Disconnect Switch ya know what might be cool to try: a momentary switch, then you would only have to hit the button again to turn the noise off/on and not really have to worry about locking the keys in the car |

| Re: Door Buzzer Disconnect Switch NICE BACK UP!
Let me guess. Behind the gas door, or on the back handle for the hatch?
And LifeX, a momentary would not work. Because that's what the factory switch is. Its a momentary. Plus you'd have to hold it in the entire time you'd want to eliminate the chime. Thus for, defeating the purpose of the mod.
Rep points. |

| Re: Door Buzzer Disconnect Switch Thank you all! The easiest electrical project i've done. But sure, it increases a chance for locking the keyes, so having a back up way to unlock is always nice, regardless of door buzzer. Quote:

Here is a close-up of a safe location for the switch so there is no interference with the belt etc:

| Re: Door Buzzer Disconnect Switch Super clean install. Soldered no doubt and shrink tubed even on the switch terminals. The double stick attachment point with a zip tie finishes it off. As good as Factory. NICELY done AND a great idea. |
