DIY: Adding a door lock remote xB2

Just had to do this for a customer and had to make my tech print the instructions which I don't want to do again so I'll preserve it here for myself and my fellow xBers.

Prior to starting:
*No key in the igniton key cyliner
*The driver side door is open (other doors are closed)
*The Driver side door is unlocked

Proceedure:
*Insert and remove the tey into/from the ignition key cylinder twice (insert - remove - insert - remove) within 5 seconds.
The procedure should end with the key removed

Perform the following operations within 40 seconds.
*Close and open the driver side door twice (close - open - close - open)
The procedure should end with the door open.

*Insert and remove the key into/from the ignition key cylinder (insert - remove).
The procedure should end with the key removed.

*Close and open the driver side door twice (close - open - close - open).
The procedure should end with the door open.

*Insert the key into the ignition key cylinder and close all doors.

Perform the following operation within 40 seconds.
*Turn the ignition switch to on and then off one time (on - off).

*Remove the key from the ignition cylinder.

Locks will lock and unlock on their own.

*Within 40 seconds press the lock and unlock switches on the transmitter simultaneously.

*Preess lock OR unlock within 5 seconds.

Doors should lock and unlock themselves once (if they lock and unlock twice the operation has failed, try again from the start).

*Open driver's door.

*Insert key into the ignition cylinder.

DONE!!!

All this proceedure does is add a door lock remote to the car (useful if you lose a remote and want to replace it or for some reason need a total of 3 or more). All function remains the same. Similar proceedures do other things to the lock system though.

What exactly did you do to your brother's car that he dislikes? Perhaps I can help.
