Start by removing the gauge cluster from the dash:
There's a white plug on the back that needs to be disconnected and a black clip holding the wiring harness. The clip can be removed by gently pulling away from the cluster:

Then remove the 4 screws on the back of the cluster:

After that remove the white cover that houses the circuit boards by gently lifting up on the white clips. Then you'll see this:

Remove the tanish colored cable from the circuit board by gently pulling on it making sure not to place any stress on the board. Slice the outside two wires on each side of the cable and then slice the wires in sets of four for each of the gauges, going about 3/4 of the way up in the center of the plastic. You'll now have a pattern like this with the wires 2,4,4,4,2. Take the blue arrowed one and swap it with the red arrowed one. I hope this helps. I'll have more pics after I complete taz's car.
