DIY: My Domelight project (you like?)

Ok so here are some pics still need to figure out how I'm gonna mount to th ceiling to replace the dome.

#1

#2

#3

#4
And in the holes will be mounted super white LED bulbs.

#5
On this pic you can see where i chewed out the center of the symbol for the wires

#6
And on this you can see where the power suply will go through in the hole on the right..

#7

#8

So now all I have to do is wait till I redo my headliner and mount it.
If i can figure out how to. Keep in mind it is going to be a finish product and the plexy is clear

Edit: So I am going to use two peices of flashing one cut in the shape of an oval smaller than the biggest part on the bevel and the other as backing. plus the lighting will reflect off the flashing once finished.

Yah I tried twice on both my wifes and my embelems and jacked them up. This is the last one I have plus there are other issues like the wiring goes through the sybol to spark the led's and you be able to see em also structure wise there isn't much left to suport the rest of the embelem I'd like it to remain clean and not cluttered. I could see how it would look good, but i can also see where there are a few issues.
thanks for the sug..

Re: DIY: My Domelight project (you like?)

It was actually simple the problem I'm having is I know nothing about LED and how to wire them up. Like I don't know if I should go in series or what plus I don't know the Olms law and all that. I drilled the hole to fit a 5mm bulb other than that I'm at a wall. Heck I'd be willing to make another one of these for someone willing to wire it up.

Just do a quick Google search on LED wiring. There are thousands of sites where you can find the wiring instructions. Very cool project, looks great.
