Re: DIY: Homemade Boo Boo's.

Just a tip from my perspective, but the final product will look better if you leave the window piece in there. It just looks like the filler used is a bit rough on the window opening, keeping the plastic in there should smooth it out

Re: DIY: Homemade Boo Boo's.

I never confirmed I was getting into the business of making these. That’s why I posted a DIY. I figured if I just posted that I made them I would get a flood of requested to get some made for sale. Which ironically is what happened anyways!!

I have some ready to go but I am working on a better fitting system for the boo boos so they don’t fall off. What I have now works but over time I can see it getting worn and then starting to get loose and fall off. If I do get into selling I don’t want to sell shite, want them to be quality. Plus I am having a hard time finding rims right now. The cars I got them off are an old hotwheels series and the newer series they have now I am not a big fan of. I will keep all of you informed as to my status of the boo boos and if I start making them for sale.

Plus I thought that these would be killer ones to do the boo boos with......

They are a 1/4 size smaller and they just look so much better. Plus those rims are the bomb!!

Mind you they aren’t that easy to come by and are 3 times the price

Feedback???

Re: DIY: Homemade Boo Boo's.

The AllStars Red xB's are very hard to come by. I was luck to find several Police Cruiser versions, but have yet to find the ambulance.

The smallest size diecast is the mainline Hot Wheels X-Raycer Scion xB. These come with a removable clear plastic body, so a different filler method would need to be used due to the baking. These are also very cost effective, only 99 cents. There is currently a version available in the Hot Wheels 2008 Mystery line up. Also, Ebay is full of em in various colors. Releases so far include: blue, red, grey, darker blue, a rumored crystal clear, and a very rare orange.

"I am aware of the Aceleracers Scions. Very cost effective and would be pretty easy to use".....

Now that I have broken one down I am thinking it would be a bit more work than i would want to do....but possible.
