| My DIY Fuel Door mod
Well, I've wanted a smoked fuel door cover for some time now, but didn't want to pay for one, so I made one myself.
What you need:
A thin piece of plexiglass (I used lexan)
A Dremel
400 Grit sandpaper
First, uninstall your fuel door: 
Second, dremel the support off of the rear. 
Third, use the fuel door as a template to dremel the plexiglass in it's image: 
Fourth: Install support to plexiglass, and re-install the door. 
Mine's almost done, but I'm busy spraying the support black, and smoking the plexiglass.
I think I will use 3m tape to secure it.
I'll post pics when I'm done.

Nice write up... I happen to have an extra fuel door i've been wanting to get rid of but after i saw this diy, i kinda wanna make one. Kinda tempting to make it eventhough I have a carbon fiber applique on my fuel door..  Decisions decisions!! | |

took some new pics, but I REALLY must've smoked the hell out of the thing, cause it's barely see-thru at all.
I still like it, but I think I'm gonna make another one today and fool around with it.    | |
