DIY:Spacing Front Fenders! Gen1

As with any DIY...If u mess it up..ITs not my fault..lol.sry..

Ok..so this is EXTERMELY useful if ur running somewhat wide wheels with an offset around 20 or lower and u are slammed, and need more clearance up front...I was rubbing real bad up front, and this got rid of like 80% of it...Only took like a half hour too...Difficulty is like..3 out of 5...maybe 2.5...Lol...

Tools that will be needed!

Tire iron or anything to take the wheels off (including wheel key if u have locks)
Flat bit and Philips head screw drivers
10mm socket!

Pick a bolt or washers to act as the spacers...Determine the size by how much room u need...Also if u go to big u will end up with a gap where the fender meets the headlight and other stuff wont fit right...

The bolt I used...

Ok..Take the wheel of!

Then take these 2 Philips screws out...Located in the wheel well

Now take the front bumper like half off to make room fer ur hand to get in ther..lol..

first..take this 10mm bolt off..located behind the grille

Then this philips screw clip thing out

Then go under the car and take out these 10mm bolts..Set the longest one aside, because u will need it for something different...The longer one is the one that goes into the metal..not the plastic clip thing

Un clip the front bumper and pull it aside to make room for u to work on, then take out the bolt that holds the fender on...

Member that bolt I told u to set aside? You'll need it now...The original bolt that holds the fender on it too short to use if ur using a big spacer like I did..so take the longer one and use it where the yellow (or w/e color ur car is) and put the painted one for the front lip

The difference

Now that the bold it out..wedge ur spacer inbetween the fender and the mount using a flat bit screw driver...

Put the screw back in...Ur fenders are spaced!

Put everything back together and ur done! HAHA! Yay!!!!!! now slam the eff out of ur car

If u have any questions feel free to PM me

Re: DIY:Spacing Front Fenders! Gen1

a nut for spacer, LOL, LOL, phhhh
I used like a 1/2in spacer, LOL had to cut off that tab for the headlight.

nice DIY Tony.
you can also got to the hardware store and get little spacers in both metal and plastic if you do not want to go the nut road, I do not like going down the nut road, but hey thats your life choice, I do not judge.

Re: DIY:Spacing Front Fenders! Gen1

Nice write up Tony. I was planning on spacing mine this weekend and pulling the schitt outta my fenders to make room for when my coilovers get here next week.
