DIY: Plate Hole Plug

Ok so ever since I made my license plate relocater bracket, the two holes up on top have been bugging me.....

....so what i did was go out and found two plastic plugs like these.....

....and i picked up a can of paint that matched my ride and a can of clear
coat.....

The paint I picked up required no priming, so I gave the plugs about 3 or 4 coats of paint with about an hour of drying in between each coat. After the final coat of paint dried for about an hour, I started applying the clear coat. I did about 4 layers of clear coat with an hour of drying in between coats......

....I let the plugs dry out overnite, and the following morning did the install. They were super snug getting in which is good cause they wont be falling out anytime soon! This was a super easy mod that gives yer ride a nice clean look w/o requiring extensive bodywork.

Sometimes the simple thing work best!
Nice DIY, Al. Now I have a reason to get rid of those chrome bullets that are currently residing in my bumper.

Rep point for a killer thread!

Re: DIY: Plate Hole Plug

Well, before this one goes too far off topic with questions unrelated to the plugs (myself included), I'm closing it to preserve it's simplicity.
