| Re: DIY: Painting the brake calipers... i'll be honest i only covered it with the bag for the first one i did - by the time i got to the other it was hot and i just wanted to finish but the one with the bag covering it came out a lot cleaner |

| Re: DIY: Painting the brake calipers... Hey Samantha----
They only had the brush on kit in black at Auto Zone here. I noticed your calipers were already painted before. Were they painted using the spray can method? How hard was it to do it with the spray can first?
I might want to paint my calipers red...even though yours look good in black...
Thanks

| Re: DIY: Painting the brake calipers... at the pepboys in my town they had duplicolor black kit and red kit... so maybe try another store?
i do know if you go to a local racing/sports store - they have other colors like yellow, green, pink, silver etc. duplicolors makes kits for all these colors - you can search online for caliper paint and can get a good range of colors. you dont REALLY need the kit - you just need the paint. the kit just comes with caliper cleaner.
and my calipers were painted red when i bought the car... the person who had it before was from the Street-Glow company (it was a fleet car) but he did a shitty ass job spray painting the calipers red lol so i had to do some damage control when i made them black |

| Re: DIY: Painting the brake calipers... I googled Dupli_color, and that's one of the links I came up with. I ordered the red kit for myself. I'm only too happy to help, Samantha. |
