| okay guys don't get me wrong here okay. you all know i'm on here all the time and i would for sure donate so don't think i'm trying to be cheap here, but aren't there better ways around this? could tommy have ad's or link at the top of the pages to gererate revenue? wouldn't that be better? if not my donation will be sent when the account is setup. | |

That's one of the things I like about Club xB, it's not cluttered up with a bunch of ads. If we do it this way it's a matter of choice, pay or don't pay...hmmmmm...sounds familiar...oh, that's deal or no deal. Well I do have a shaved head and ear piercings.  | |

| Even though I wouldn't see them, I'd rather not have CLUBxB start carrying a lot of ads.
(Just to add a little to the discussion, sending a PayPal 'donation' to the same PayPal account one would use to order CLUBxB decals gets the money to the right spot, and if your "comment" accompanying the transaction thanks Tommy for providing CLUBxB and lets him know it's a donation, well, he probably won't send it back...)

Just to clarify things Mike and I where talking about ClubXb last night and this was our idea. Tommy aka Admin is not asking for money in anyway. This is just our way of asking if we can thank him for all of his hardwork and giving us such a great site by donating $1.00+ a month to clubxb | |

It was brought up between us and sounded like something that needed to be done. Scotts idea about using any overages for functions like ClubxB shows, functions, etc. is also a very good one. | |

Wow, are we on a dedicated server? Thats about the price for that. I pay $35 a month, but my site is ALOT smaller .
If every active member did this, we could easily cover the server fees for Tommy. I say go for it. If he was nice enough to go to a dedicated server for us, it's the least we can do.
I will have to wait till payday though .

Sorry everyone for the late response but things have been very hectic lately. I made a decision a while back to display ads in order to recoupe some of the cost to run the servers at clubxb but i just havent had time to implement the ads. Im pretty sure even after placing ads the cost to run the servers will outweigh the money made from ads. Im thinking about offering a premium membership service where members who would like to donate and contribute to the site can do for 20 dollars a year and this would also enable them to other benefits such as being ad free. That comes out to around 1.60 a month to contribute to ClubxB and its longtevity.
What do you guys think of that ? | |

| Donating To ClubXb
When donating or paying the $20 a year would we have an option to donate more then $20? I understand $20 a year would get us a specific membership status but what if we just love the site so much and would like to donate money to something we enjoy so much? With the extra money you could put it towards doing new stuff with Clubxb or having our own show or meet some where. Something to get everyone together.
I was thinking ClubXb should have a show in Central California then everyone from Northern and Southern California and meet up there get to know one another. | |
