| Re: Another milestone for Club xB! Hahaha. You guys crack me up. I found it to be a good article regardless of JDM Sportmax stuff. JDM is a catch phrase so much nowadays I dont even know what it means. lol. I dont care. JDM is whatever. Sportmax are good rims for the price. Im just excited it got a good review and we have the community we do. Personally I wont confuse the two, but whatever if others do. Cant win 'em all! Props for Clubxb! |

| Re: Another milestone for Club xB! Heh. To me all JDM (Japanese Domestic Market) means is it's actual literal meaning: Things made in Japan and sold in their domestic market: Japan. Thos ame things may also be sold elsewhere - or may not. As long as it is made and sold in Japan it is JDM.
(I'm sure other folks have other definitions, but that is the standard economics definition.) |

| Re: Another milestone for Club xB! Lol yea. I consider it to be anything sold in the Japanese market that was not meant for here when it originally made. Basically that. Anyway, thread jack over on JDM. Back to greatness of Clubxb. |

I've never really understood why folks get so involved with stuff like this. For example, as far as I can tell, most of the marketing folks at the car manufacturers find the phrase, if not the concept, "station wagon" to be utterly anathema these days. And then there was the comment from the guy who said something along the lines of "I might as well hang my nads from the rear view mirror if I drove a minivan." (And I'm thinkin', "dude, better check your pockets, because if you're worried about what your car says about where your nads are you probably ain't got 'em in the first place.")
Anyhoo. Microvan, station wagon, mini-wagon, sport wagon, hatchback. Whatever. It's all good.
Actually, I'm lying. Don't call it anything with "SUV" in it. That'll get me cranky. |

| Re: Another milestone for Club xB! The Cube is an interesting looking machine, but I'd like it more if it were from Toyota... My many Toys have been very good machines, better than most made by other manufacturers.
Actually,
In that pic of the xb, Materia and xB2 above, if the Materia (LHD bB) were the Scion and the current US xB2 were the Toyota, it would make perfect sense: The World Citycar is odd enough and different enough to definitely polarize opinions, just like the original xB did, and is a match for the urban underground viral marketing shtick that identified Scion.
The newgen xB is the perfect family wagon - the mom, 2.3 kids and a dog, "off to conquer the world" vehicle. Toyota could slip it in as a wagon in one of their sedan lines and no one would bat an eye.
Someone at Scion took their eye off the ball and let a normal family wagon slip in the back door instead of driving a quirky "thing" right through the front door, music blaring and lights dancing.
What happened to "In your face!" Scion?
"The Sled" is probably an OK name for the B2... It's a really nice machine, and will make many thousands happy, it's just not MY kind of machine. |

| Re: Another milestone for Club xB! Very nice pic "play by play". So the new Scion xB is very obviously made to fit US market better in terms of appearance and safety (all the lenght they added went to the hood and the rear has a more conventional look)
Remember how VW didnt give a $*!@ and still sold and sold and sold, 'til it was cute and ugly no more? |
