i want to switch from tanabe springs to coilovers. have about a 1/2-1inch wheel gap right now. would like to get rid of it.
however, its an expensive change, and realistically, its strictly cosmetic. i already hate speed bumps as it is, driveways suck.... so maybe down the line. but i keep telling myself IT LOOKS FINE. cuase it does.. but lower would be sexy(er)
Truth. I'd rather be moderately low, and have sick fitment, than be slammed and it to be off too tuck (dont get me wrong, some tuck is okay). That is just my style though too. On air though, I just park is on the tires. I dont see how I could get lower actually.
ive done the low, but with driving my box for work got kinda tired of the scrapin, rough ride, and limbs gettin stuck under the car. so went back to stock. doesnt look as good but the ride is sooooo much better
Moderately lower on NF210s, & totally satisfied. I won't go lower if it forces me to slow for speed bumps, driveway dips, and street gutters. Plus, my wife doesn't want to be seen in a car that "looks like it's owned by a 25 year old."
Low is the current fad. It remains to be seen if it will age more gracefully than the early 70s NASCAR racing wings, late 50's tail fins, and similar fads.
Money isn't the main problem with me, except 1000 to 2000 bucks for coils or bags you have to admit is an investment. I have the DF210s and put 15 mm spacers in the back and it looks pretty good. I wouldn't have minded if they would have been little lower in the rear cause when there's a little weight back there it's perfect.... For me. Plus I'm an old dood and unless it was for shows or competition there has got to be more problems for an everyday driver that would arise get it arise.
im good where im at i cant get in my own driveway anymore since i scrape frame i just recently broke the rail for my gate it went from being a straight solid piece of metal to a boomerang shape metal stick lol
I ran my hats that were done like that for a couple yrs with no issues, and they are still rollin around on another guys box that I sold them to. John copied my old ones, poor man suspension ftw!
That's not the kind of mods I feel comfortable with. Me and a grinder wouldn't mix. Kinda like me pruning trees I don't know when to quit.
